Is Anybody know where I can get electrical components such as resistors ,capacitors or breadboard in Calgary? I know only Source, but i am looking for wider range of stuffs, like larger breadboards and etc... Active Electronics is very good 1-2015 32 Avenue NE Calgary, AB T2E 6Z3 I've also heard of B & E but I have never been there 444 Manitou Road SE, Calgary, AB T2G 4C4 www.digikey.ca is by far the best source of electronics, though. » Hi, is it possible to download PC games?

Hi, my Sims 2 has broken and I really want to know how to download it. Yes, I want it free and no, I don't care that it's illegal. Some of you may suggest torrents, however they never download and even when they do they take a lifetime! My friends download PC games all the time in like a couple of hours, how can I do this? All help appreciated thanks!Well...That guy is right. There are several PC games which are designed to be free. If you want that game really, yes torrents are the best way, and if they are not downloading fast, it is because there aren't enough seeds or peers. Just look at the number of seeds and peers, i know someone who downloaded Sims 2 full in 30 minutes.Well if you need the download; I know for a fac...... - 2010-02-07

Hey guys, i want to add a google search bar to my site for 2 reasons: 1: Adrevenue from search results 2: saving server resources (if this is the case) my question is, does using the google search save system resources? also, is it as detailed in results as the built in search? will it search ALL pages of the forum? thanksI assume it'd save a bit of server resources. On the downside, it won't let you search for specific things like in a certain forum, posts by a certain user, with X replies, by date, ... It will search all the pages that are viewable by guests....... - 2010-02-07

» 6 year old charged off auto loan...

Credit question... I have an old car loan for an auto that was repossed. The car sold for less than the value of the loan, therefore I ended up negative $4500.00 after fees, etc. The loan was charged off about 6 years ago. I continue to get collections notices offering large discounts over the full amount, yet here's the part where I'm confused. If I pay this and they remark is as a paid collection will it extend the mark another 7 years as it will be new activity? Also, if I don't pay, can they continue to try to collect and mark my credit after the 7 year period? Your assistance is appreciated....... - 2010-02-07

» Historic effects of war on the economy of the United States

I am interested in knowing about the effects that this century's wars have had on the US economy. I've heard that wars stimulate the economy, and I've heard that wars depress it. In this past century, the US seem to have fought a lot, so both are probably true. Which wars were good for the economy, which ones hurt it? Were there factors that made certain wars good or bad for the economy?Hi! As you know, this is a very subjective matter and it would be difficult to pin down a real effect that would not be open to debate. What would be the answer format you would require so as to be considered as a legitimate response. Just let me know. :)I'm looking for discussion, opinion is perfectly fine. » Nikon d80 or Canon 400d

Please suggest which of the two should i buy? Which is the better camera when it comes to getting less noise in images ?For specifics on cameras, visit www.dpreview.com. They have some really in-depth reviews on tons of cameras.i'd go with the D80 because it feels better. That's what you should be buying these on. How they feel and if the button layout makes sense to you. The noise difference is practicly unnoticeable in a print. The feel will change per person, so go to the store and pick the one that feels best in your hands.Of those two cameras, side-by-side, discounting everything else, I'd say the Nikon is the better of the two. But it's not as simple as that. Bottom line is either will serve you well and which ever 'feels' right to...... - 2010-02-07

Before the upgrade the smb-shares could be accessed fine and it sill works on the two boxes i haven't upgraded. I've added the smb share WORKGROUP which all devices are using. I set up the default user/pass in settings. I can see all computers in WORKGROUP when i open it. I can scan the computers without problem. The problem is i can't open any of the computers. So if i go into Music -> WORKGROUP i can see for example "P4". If i try to open it nothing happens (waited a long time and the PC just have 4 folders shared). In a recent patent infringement case, Madey v. Duke University, the court did not support Duke's experimental use defense. Read a one page brief here: http://www.law.umaryland.edu/pdf_files/lsung/2002/021004.pdf The experimental use defense protects the use of patented technology by third parties "...for amusement, to satisfy idle curiousity, or for strictly philosophical inquiry." (This protection, it seems, is similar in spirit to the Fair Use provisions in law.) Had two of mine done 3 months ago and not had any problems since.you can find some good deals on this web site on wheels they might have what your looking for,if they don't try a salvage yard, good luck, http://tirerack.comAlloy wheels that have minor porosity leak(s) can be repaired with a Devcon epoxy. Locate the leak(s) and thoroughly clean and rough up the area on the inside and seal it. This sounds like a somewhat "Mickey Mouse" repair - but it is a known good repair and was actually an authorized repair procedure from Ford.If can get some sort of seal put...... - 2010-02-07

» What type of bird makes more babies in 2 clutches Lutino cockatiel pair or green cheek conure pair?

i have a pair of eachCockatiels and Green Cheeks are similar in the size of eggs, clutches as well as incubation period. The real question is if you are breeding to sell, what is your target market? Green Cheeks are much more common than 3-5 years ago and the market for them is just as saturated as the one for cockatiels. Something else to note is the fact that a cockatiel makes a wonderful first time bird. Green Cheeks, although small, possess more of a "big parrot" personality. Their post-weaning nippiness can turn some off and intimidate many. Another thing to consider is that Cockatiels are more easily housed as a flock than the Green Cheeks....... - 2010-02-07

» How many kilobites are on a computer?

I haven't seen any running around on my laptop but I don't know what a kilobite looks like. Do you mean how many inside?Well you would need to know the hard drive size if that is what you want to know or it could also be with your ram. If it is your hard drive and you have a 250 GB hard drive then. There is 1024 Kilobytes in a Megabyte and then their is 1024 Megabyte in a Gigabyte. 250*1024^2=262144000 Your answer in a 250Gb Hard drive is 262144000.1000 bytes -> 1KB 1000KB -> 1 MB 1000mb - GB if u simply go to "my Computer" then right click on it then Properties it will show you your max space and free spaceIt mostly depends on your computers Hard-drive. Kilobytes are a pain to measure though since most of them are ...... - 2010-02-07

» CONGOLESE RETURNS FROM TANZANIA THREATENED BY LACK OF FOOD UN REFUGEE AGENCY

CONGOLESE RETURNS FROM TANZANIA THREATENED BY LACK OF FOOD UN REFUGEE AGENCY Serious food shortages are threatening the voluntary return of Congolese refugees from camps in western Tanzania, according to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). The agency has successfully been assisting refugees return to South Kivu province in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) for over two years by ferrying them across Lake Tanganyika from Kigoma in Tanzania to Baraka in the DRC. But this programme was plunged into uncertainty after an announcement by the UN World Food Programme (WFP) that it does not have sufficient supplies to feed some 16,000 Congolese expected to return to their home country by the end of this year. ...... - 2010-02-07

» Please help explainthis description.....

"ISO 25-5000 automatically set in 1/3-stop increments according to DX code. Can also be set manually from ISO 6-6400 in 1/ 3-stop increments." Can someone explain what this means? I'm so sorry, but its in the specs of a camera I'm researching, but I don't understand it. Also, whats an f stop? Thank you. That means it'll automatically set the meter to the manufacturer's recommended ISO for any film between ISO 25 and ISO 5000 with a DX code (bar code type thing on film cassettes). You can override this or set manually for cassettes without DX code any where from ISO to ISO 6400 in 1/3 stop increments. It just means that it'll read the DX code or you can set it manually. Every camera should have this; most do.Also, whats an f s...... - 2010-02-07

» When and how do I prune my roses & peach tree?

I purchased a home this year in the high desert area of southern california. My peach tree has now lost all of its leaves and I'm not sure when or how to prune it. Also I have many rose bushes as well as shrubs. Should I prune now? and they all look pretty wild right now. Would it hurt to prune everything WAY back?? Thanks for your help!If you get any freezing weather where you live, it's best to wait until spring to do your pruning. Don't prune anything WAY back. That'll give your plants an unnecessary setback. On the roses, don't cut more than 1/3 of a cane off unless it's crossing another cane or completely dead. For trees and shrubs, just prune any dead wood that doesn't produce leaves in th...... - 2010-02-07

» Stuck on a sentence

Hey everyone, trying to do some translation practice here but I'm stuck on a certain sentence which I can't get my head around. The sentence is as follows: AJ̐AoρA܂Љɂ‚āA͋C pȂقljmȂB The part that's stumping me is CpȂق, especially the ق part. The "official" translation that accompanies the text translates it as "I was embarrassed because I was so ingnorant about American politics, the economy, and social problems". But I can't see how CpȂق is used in that sentence. It seems like it's trying to say "the more I became embarrassed, I knew nothing", but that doesn't make any sense. Or maybe it means "I knew nothing, to the extent that I...... - 2010-02-07

» extracting graphics from flash movies

Hey peeps, I'm trying to learn how to take individual pictures and graphics out of flash elements from web sites (such as animated logos). I know you can save the movies and open them in flash to extract the individual pics, but I don't know how. Thanks a billlion! This is usually considered unethical. The content could be ed and you'd be violating that. You could always contact the web site and try to get permission for the content.I'm a graphic designer, and these are companies I create ads for. However, I'm not at the point where I have direct contact with the clients. Requests like that have to go through so many channels that it becomes impossible to finish in a timely fashion. What use would graphics be from swfs? The quality isn't s...... - 2010-02-07

» Any interest in a Sport Scores script?

This week I have been working on a new script that will display current games and scores for certain "US" sports. The script "page scrapes" Yahoo Sports for data every 15 seconds and updates the screen appropriately. When you load the application, first, you select a sport from the buttons on the left. Once selected, the script downloads and "page scrapes" the current list of games and associated scores for the requested sport. After that, a List is produced showing each game, current scores, and some form of game status for all games found. As you scroll through the Game List, detailed information, e.g., scores by period, etc., for the current game is displayed above the List in a Score Board fashion. Lastly, the List and the Score...... - 2010-02-07

» Paging the P Team

Hey guys.. Sorry I've been MIA, I just got moved into a new house and got internet hooked up yesterday. My days are full of unpacking and decorating and all that jazz that comes along with a moving. Plus my husband is coming home in about 6 weeks (Yay!), so I've got a lot to get ready for that. Anyway, I've been shooting tons of slides, partly because I'm in love with Velvia film, and because I'm going to get back and do more polaroids when I get the time. My question was, it is SO expensive to get prints from slides ($1 for a 4x6!), so could I do some on my Daylab? What film would I get if I just wanted to print some to scan in? I can never get really good Saturation on my Time Zero film, but I was blown away by the awesome satur...... - 2010-02-07

» DNA Research

If a person gets a blood transfusion does their DNA change?Receiving a blood transfusion will not change a person's DNA in a long-term way. The most that can happen is that testing (if conducted shortly after the transfusion) might reveal the presence of both the patient's own DNA and foreign DNA from the blood donor. Unless the transfusion involves white blood cells or platelets, there may be no detectable change at all. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- "With all the forensic shows at the moment, I would like to know..... if you can get DNA from blood, and you can get a full/partial blood tranfusion, does this effect/change your DNA?...
