Sending web pages by email

January 6th, 2009
I've been using the rule shown in the attachment to allow me to send URL links to friends directly from Internet Explorer. It's much tighter than just allowing the default "email client" presets.

IE allows you to send either the actual page or just a URL link to someone by email directly from IE without loading up Outlook Express (yeah, I admit it; I use OE (shame, shame)) It's a selection from the "Files" menu.

This OP rule permits IE to access my SMTP email when I want it to but pops up an report dialog so that I'll know if something is trying to use IE to send email without my permission. (My SMTP server is blacked out - just in case.)

I love OPP's reporting popup. (I've recently switched from OPF to OPP.) I used this same rule with OPF, but, of course, no reporting option.

Anyway, just thought I'd share.
