How many kilobites are on a computer?

March 11th, 2010
  • I haven't seen any running around on my laptop but I don't know what a kilobite looks like. Do you mean how many inside?

  • We would need to know what you are refering to (hard drive, RAM, etc) and your computer specs.

  • Well you would need to know the hard drive size if that is what you want to know or it could also be with your ram. If it is your hard drive and you have a 250 GB hard drive then.
    There is 1024 Kilobytes in a Megabyte and then their is 1024 Megabyte in a Gigabyte.
    250*1024^2=262144000
    Your answer in a 250Gb Hard drive is 262144000.

  • 1000 bytes -> 1KB
    1000KB -> 1 MB
    1000mb - GB

    if u simply go to "my Computer"
    then right click on it
    then Properties
    it will show you your max space and free space

  • It mostly depends on your computers Hard-drive. Kilobytes are a pain to measure though since most of them are labeled as Gigabytes. So unless you want to do math, I'd stick with Gig.

  • Usually from 40,000,000 to 180,000,000 kilobytes depending on the harddrive capacity.

  • it depends on how many gigabytes there are

  • depends on the hard drive's size
